AllowanceKit is licensed under Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA). The information below explains our Premium plans and how to manage purchases.
AllowanceKit is free for one child and up to three buckets. Premium unlocks unlimited children and buckets, savings goals, child device locking, overspending and Family Sharing invites. Choose $0.99 USD per month, $7.99 USD per year or $12.99 USD once for lifetime. Local prices may vary; the App Store purchase sheet shows the applicable price before you confirm.
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription through Settings > Manage Subscriptions in the app or your Apple Account subscription settings.
Cancellation stops future renewal; Premium remains available until the paid period ends. When access expires, free-tier limits apply unless you have another valid Premium purchase. Your first-created owned child remains editable. Additional children become read-only, and their automatic allowances pause. Their balances, goals and transaction history remain available to view. Backup creation, export and owner-confirmed child deletion remain available. Restoring a backup with multiple owned children requires Premium. Renewing Premium or purchasing lifetime resumes access without backfilling allowances from paused periods.
Editing shared children requires both the owner's sharing permission and eligibility under the owner's plan. An invited parent's own purchase or child ordering does not override a restriction. Existing shares may remain read-only until the owner opens the updated app and access status syncs through iCloud. A received subscription expiry is enforced offline; renewed access requires a synced update from the owner. Invited parents do not need a separate subscription to edit eligible shared children.
Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge. Existing lifetime owners keep Premium without subscribing. Buying lifetime does not automatically cancel an active subscription; cancel renewal separately to prevent further subscription charges.
Restore Premium access using Settings > Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Refund requests are handled by Apple through Report a Problem.
